Network Technician - Secret clearance at By Light Professional IT Services in Patrick Afb, FL
Overview American Communications Solutions is seeking a Network Technician to support the Eastern Western Operational Communications Services (EWOCS) contract where we provide comprehensive enterprise Information Technology (IT) services and support for U.S. Space Force SLD 45 on the Eastern Range. This includes the main network-centric hub located at Patrick SFB, FL and outport locations including Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and other GSU's. We provide support in the areas of task order management; information assurance/cyber security; content/knowledge management; help desk; video teleconferencing, system administration, operations and maintenance; network engineering and administration, firewall touch maintenance; and ADPE inventory. Responsibilities Serve as Network Technician responsible for installing, configuring, upgrading and troubleshooting LAN components such as L2 & L3 switches Maintain network security through proper configuration of Cisco ASA, firewalls, and VPN concentrators Create and troubleshoot network maps, and monitor network problems concerning connectivity failures with the HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, FTP, SSL, and other protocols Consolidate, collect, configure, and review system audit logs within a Solaris operating system Manage Blue Coat ProxySG, including editing policy and services Manage Palo Alto firewalls Identify the need to upgrade or enhance network component capabilities in response to network problems and deficiencies, e.g., degradation of service Implement approved IAVA through IAVM Program Assist in solving network connectivity issues Perform Unix/Linux administration to include application installation and user administration May require remote work and odd hours as needed to support customer. Required Experience/Qualifications Proven knowledge and experience in:
Cisco VPNs and firewalls Cisco IOS XE and NXOS Knowledge of networking protocols SolarWinds NPM & NCM Syslog-NG Blue Coat ProxySG Alto firewalls Preferred Experience/Qualifications Able to make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery Anyconnect VPN Cisco ASA Cisco ISE BS and 3 years, or AS and 5 years of experience preferred Special Requirements/Security Clearance Secret clearance Position requires proof of Covid-19 full vaccination status or qualified exemptions Physical Demands Ability to lift 40 pounds
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
